Representatives of the Bampton band being presented the “virtual” trophy

Please bring your form on the day or fill one in at the venue. It costs just £5 per Band and you pay on the day.

The striking competition was introduced shortly after the new Guild was established. The first winners were Brampton. The band generously donated a trophy which has been presented to the winning band ever since.

In 2018 the competition was divided into separate sections for call changes and method ringing, judged by the same judge. A new trophy was made and donated by Ron East. It was won by Egremont at the competition held at Bampton.

During the pandemic, a “virtual” striking competition was held online using Zoom and Ringing Room, a model that was discussed nationally.  Both years were won by Bampton.
