Following a service for the blessing of the restored bells by Bishop James Bell on 30th July, the bells were available for general ringing. Ringers came from all over the Guild to take part, including Kyle Harrison from Barrow (pictured above). Kyle took to the ‘Bellringing in Cumbria’ Facebook page to record his excitement about ringing the heaviest ring of 4; and to encourage others to come along. A splendid celebration cake was made by Janet Shepherd – as well as cupcakes for the local children.
